What are the demographic characteristics of the school for which you’ll conduct this program:
- The demographic is that our school is one of three high schools. We have around 1200 students, with around 200 students who speak a native language that is not English. Our school is also an international diploma school, where students come from all over the district to get an international diploma. Due to a high ESL population, our school has a VERY diverse population. Also there is a wide range of socio-economic status. Some students here come from very wealthy family, and some students here are homeless; it is very hard to put a specific title on the socio-economic status here at the high school.
- As teachers, we are very fortunate to have a variety of technology that we can use within our classrooms. For example, teachers are provided with laptops, projectors, Assitive Technology carts, SmartBoards, Elmo's, graphing calculators, and a combination of all of the above. For the majority of the classrooms, teachers are provided with laptop carts ( that the school has access too), AT cart, Projectors.
